About

I’m Robin, the grower and showrunner behind crystallinaminum™ based in Sweden. I have a background in chemical and biotechnical engineering and my interest in aroids started by coincidence in 2019 when I was looking after my sister’s plants. One of them was an Anthurium clarinervium, which caught my eye with its distinct velvety appearance and striking vein architecture. That plant ended up pulling me in.

What started with a few plants slowly turned into a deeper interest over the next years. I gradually narrowed my focus to Anthuriums, first collecting, then growing more seriously, and eventually getting into breeding. Breeding toward certain traits adds another dimension to the process. While dark velvets is my primary focus, I do have a soft spot for species from Mesoamerica and other regions.

Experimenting is a big part of the appeal. Considering my technical background, I naturally gravitated toward the controlled side of growing, tweaking conditions and comparing outcomes as the plants develop. It became a project mostly driven by curiosity and passion. I grow mostly in semi-hydro setups with inert media in a dedicated grow room.

The collection continues to evolve as I grow, refine, and explore new material. What you see here reflects the part of the project I’m most excited to offer through crystallinaminum™.
